As your hopefully all aware to join the club this academic year you will have to join the AU and then sign up to Octopush, it will be of a higher cost than last year’s membership fees, however you will no longer have to pay Subs each training session and you will be able to sign up to other clubs too all for the one price. There is going to be a new AU membership page on the union’s website, which will be launched very soon. From there you can join the AU from the 1st of September so you can sign up before term even starts.
Both the social and team kits have been re-organised and orders have been agreed and placed with a new company apparently, so new matching kit for the whole AU should be available to order online for us when term starts.
This year’s sports brochure has been written, I sent in a little description and a photo a couple of months ago for that. It’s going to be put in rooms in hall and around campus, so hopefully we shall gain new members through that.
Purple Wednesday’s have been officially moved from the Union, which shut down its clubs at the end of last year, to Jongulers and Bar Rita in Gunwharf, so we shall no doubt head down there a few times after training this year.
6 weeks till Uni starts again, look forward to seeing you all, enjoy the rest of your summer; I will be keeping you updated on club news as i get it.
