As with our lovely little game i hear that relentless question “how the hell do you play that?”

So: everyone will have a game card, on one side the rules and on the other, score calculations (scorecard).

Rules: 9 (different) Drinks to be consumed over the space of the crawl.
As you drink you have a partner to ensure your drinking score and not lying that you did it in one when you actually did it in 5 tries.
How many attempts it takes to finish a drink gives you a specific number of points (as stated on card).

It’s been ages since the last proper social so a few of us decided to get one together for the end of exams, Friday 6th February. We still need to come up with/decide on a theme, so check out the dicussion at http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2210176471&topic=6464 and sitck your ideas down. Then we’ll decide on it at the pub this sunday and post a proper event on here and facebook.

Remember if you want a club hoodie or polo shirt, to pay the money in to the cash office this week- last day to pay is FRIDAY 16th!!

And if you haven’t already told me what size and name you want on it please do so before next monday as i will be ordering monday morning. Hopefully they should only take a couple of weeks to come through, all ready for semester 2!

This year our social kit will be a maroon hoodie with the crest on one side and your name on the other with our logo on the back, and a navy polo shirt (pool shirt) to wear when we play tournaments (or whenever you like!) again crest one side name the other and logo on the back.

It’s nice to have social kit, especially a pool shirt because then we look united when we go and play tournaments, of which we have a few coming up, But the kit is not compulsory and you don’t have to order both.

How to order:

We are going bowling after Training/Pub on Sunday 30th November. It’s £2.50 per game because Sundays’ are student nights at the bowling alley. So be there or be square!

Don’t forget to bring your Student ID. (Campus or NUS Card.)

(We will probably head down to the lains for 9 ish.)

Many of you have been asking about Polo shirts and Hoodies so here is what you need to know…

The Social kit order will be placed in the new year, straight after the Christmas break.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a Hoodie (Maroon) and/or Pool Shirt (blue polo shirt). Prices will be confirmed nearer the time, you can also have your nickname or name put on both, so get thinking.

The club also uses social shirts (Previously black and orange.), more details about these to follow in the new year.

This year, forget Turkey! We are going Mexican for Christmas!

We have a provisional date of Friday 5th December 2008, to go to Chiquito in Gunwharf Quay for a three course meal. The total cost (excluding drinks) is £17.95, which for three courses is good! (See menu below.)

If you would like to come please bring a £5.00 deposit along to training on Sunday the 2nd of November and speak to one of the Committee members. (Or get your deposit to a committee member before Sunday.)
