Any questions, facebook us! Happy days – and counting! xx
This year the student national competition will be held on the weekend of the 13th March. The competition will be held at Bangor University’s Pool in Wales. More details to follow soon.
We are all heading down to Plymouth for the weekend to have a warm up for student nationals.
All welcome, just let Emily know if you are interested in going.
We will be leaving on the Friday 13th February mid day and coming back on the Sunday.
Will be a fun packed weekend and fingers crossed we win!!!!!
Hope to see you all there!!
There is a chance of playing a tournament in February, hosted by Plymouth University which will be a good opportunity to warm up for nationals, Emily is making the arrangements, let her know if you are interested.
Also a chance to play in a tournament in October which is hosted by Brighton Octopush Club, Gemma and Matt will be trying to make the necessary arrangements. We will let you know details when we have them.
Tour is a long way in the distance right now, but it will come round very quickly.
The next payment of £190 is due in before 30th January 2009. You can pay before in installments if you wish. Payments need to be made in the Union Cash Office.
Some more information is needed about everyone who is going on tour, please send the following information to Emily:
1. Passport Number (Really long number, make sure you get it right.)
2. Next of Kin details (Name, Relation to you, address, contact number.)
3. Details of any dietary requirements. (Vegan, Vegiterian, Nut allergies, etc.)
Tour Shirt: We have to think of a logo and a clean slogan for our tour shirts. (Keep it clean and not related to alcohol.) Post your suggestions in the forum or discuss them at training.
Sleeping Arrangements: Get thinking about who you want to share a room with. The rooms are single sex rooms. We believe that each room will sleep three people, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Late Arrivals: If you know of anyone else who wants to go on tour but missed the deadline, let Emily know because they can have their name put on a waiting list. (Some people drop out.)
That’s all for now. Another update will be posted soon, so keep your eyes peeled!
